BLACK DOG

BLACK DOG is a new Mack V-8 machine owned and operated by Ross Castner from Bellonia, New York. The truck has only been pulling with the Big Rigs Pulling Series for a little over two years but has already made its mark in the competition. BLACK DOG is a single charger Mack with a 998 cubic inch Mack engine. However the owner chooses to compete with the Big Rigs rather that with the single charger Super Stock Semis.

In 2004, BLACK DOG made five trips into the state of Ohio to compete against the Pro Stock Semis from the Ohio Tractor Pullers Association. And BLACK DOG won at all but one of those events prompting some significant rule changes by that organization for 2005 that will preclude Mr. Castner and his Mack from competing in the Buckeye Series this summer.

Ross Castner is heavily into the logging and trucking industry in Central New York near Penn Yan in the Finger Lakes Region. His team has recently purchased the former “Brockasauras” machine and is in the process of renovating that Brockway for the 2005 season.
