A ROOD AWAKENING

A ROOD AWAKENING missed the entire 2008 season when it was discovered in the Spring that the E-9 Mack engine would have to be completely replaced. The problem with the engine stemmed from a major breakage and small fire at the Canfield Fair in September of 2007 - the last trip down the track for A ROOD AWAKENING.
A ROOD AWAKENING is owned by George Rood, Sr. of Mineral Ridge, Ohio. Powered by 998 cubic inches of Mack power this Super Liner is one very powerful truck. The diamond flake paint scheme boasts a tremendous hand-painted mural on the rear of the cab.
The truck missed some pulls in 2006 but still ended seventh in the end-of-season point race. The Mack grabbed a very strong second place at the Crawford County Fair in Meadville, Pennsylvania and then ended up fifth at the Canfield Fair in Canfield, Ohio in September. But it was at the Big Rigs FINALS in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania in October of 2006 that the truck really came to life with a convincing second place finish.
