USA-EAST JOINS WITH N.T.P.A. TO CO-SANCTION TWO MODIFIED SEMI TRUCK EVENTS IN 2010
Feb 14 2010

Fans of the modified semi truck division will have the opportunity to see the two major circuits in the sport at the same time in 2010. Full Pull Productions, parent company of the Big Rigs Pulling Series and World Pulling International, the parent company of the NTPA Super Semis have agreed to co-sanction their classes at two Ohio venues this season. Pullers will be able to collect points in either the NTPA Super Semis or the USA-EAST Big Rigs. And some pullers may opt to collect points in both of the series.
On Tuesday, August 17 at 7:00pm the combined group of trucks will meet at the Lake County Fair in Painesville, Ohio. This location is the hometown for NTPA champion JR Collins and the ‘Buckeye Bulldog’ and is also near to the base for Dick Bonner’s “Killer”, the former Big Rigs champion. And Fred Sanders, the 2009 Big Rigs king with “Silver Bullet” resides just down the road a piece. The Painesville pull promises to be a giant shoot-out for the modified semi trucks. Steve Singer’s Palestine Dyno has been tabbed as the weight sled for this gigantic pull.
The second co-sanctioned pull will be held at the Canfield Fair in Canfield, Ohio on Saturday, September 4 at 7:00pm – the Saturday of Labor Day week-end. This is the largest county fair in the state and annually draws over 10,000 spectators to eastern Ohio. Don Snyder’s “Mr. Nasty”, a former Big Rigs champion hails from nearby New Springfield and Johnny Mann’s “Lady Butterfly” is nearby in East Canton. Richard Scott from Diamond, Ohio will bring his “Silver Bullet II” the 2008 Big Rigs champion and the all-new “Sneaky Pete” of Joe Giulitto from Ravenna, Ohio is expected to compete. Vaughn Bauer from Paton, Iowa, will provide the Iron Man sled for the Canfield pull.
Fans should consult the NTPA and USA-EAST schedules for the exact list of classes that will accompany the Super Semis and Big Rigs at both Painesville and Canfield in 2010.
